Cheverus Catholic School offers the community a PreK-8th grade education. Academic Facts
- Since the Archdiocese of Boston began using the Stanford standardized test in 2009 – 2010, grades 4 – 8 have tested above the National Average!
- Grades 6 – 8 rank above the National Average in Reading, Math, Language, Social Sciences and Science!
- In Grade 3, Reading, Math, and Language Arts scores increased at a greater rate than those of the rest of the schools in the Archdiocese of Boston!
- In Grade 4, Cheverus students tested at the 60^th percentile or higher in Reading, Math, Language Arts and Social Science!
- Math scores at that same grade level increases significantly from Grade 2 where students began in the 42^nd percentile, increasing to the 45^th percentile in Grade 3, and to the 60^th percentile in Grade 4!
- In Grade 5, our Science scores are 6% higher than anywhere else in the Archdiocese. Grade 5 Math scores have increased by 4%, which is the highest increase in test scores since last year’s testing results!
- Scores in Grade 6 have increased in every subject area, with the highest increases coming in Math. Reading scores increased at a greater percentage than those of all other schools combined in the Archdiocese!
- Our Grade 7 students have scored 4% higher than all students nationally! They scored above the nation-wide average in Reading, Math, Language Arts, Science and Social Sciences!
- In Grade 8, our students scored above grade level in Math, Spelling, Science and Social Science. Our 8^th graders’ test scores increased at a greater rate than those of 8^th graders from all other schools in the Archdiocese!
