250 Beds for 250 Children

Dear Parents,
 
I just got off the phone with Sister Linda Bessom, SND.  Sister is the Senior Community Organizer for the Massachusetts Coalition for the Homeless and an organizer of the “250 Beds for 250 Children.”
 
This is the project that will benefit from the last two N.U.T. Days held at Cheverus.  Routinely, a N.U.T. Day will raise about $300-$350.  These last two days, thanks to your overwhelming response to the “Bed” program, Cheverus will send $1,750.  This means seven beds!
 
Sister was awed and grateful for the way Cheverus responded.  I told her how proud I was to be a part of such a caring community.  She asked that I extend her gratitude to you.  I told her that this is characteristic of our families.
