Answer: No. nearly 50% of the student population are of faith backgrounds other than Catholic. However, the teachings of the Catholic Church and its traditions are central to who we are, and all students do participate in religious celebrations such as First Friday and Holyday Masses. Although Cheverus Catholic takes great pride in the diversity of faith backgrounds represented by our families, we are equally proud of our Catholic identity and mission and acknowledge that it is the primary reason for our existence.
Answer: Cheverus Catholic views parents as their children’s primary teachers. We expect a partnership with parents that will result in enabling students to realize their full academic potential. Cheverus has an actively engaged/involved Parent Teacher Association. All parents by virtue of having a student at Cheverus Catholic are members of the PTA and are encouraged to participate.
Answer: Cheverus students hail primarily from Malden. In addition to Malden, students come from but are not limited to the communities of Medford, Everett, Revere, Chelsea, and Somerville.
Answer: Yes. Additionally the option of hot and cold lunches will be reintroduced for 2022-2023 school year. The price charged will be confirmed by mid-April 2022. Cheverus Catholic participates in the federal lunch program for free and reduced lunch for those who qualify. Students have the option of bringing a lunch from home.

Answer: Our Extended Day Program is offered throughout the school year at a cost of $22.00 per day from 2 – 5:30 PM. Pick up from extended day by 3:30 costs $11.00 per day. Early drop-off is available at a cost of $5.00 per day. Students may be dropped off as early as 6:30 AM.
There are “Vacation Fun Programs” during the Christmas, February and April recesses at a cost of $50.00 per day. The program runs from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM daily. There is a “Summer Fun Program” as well. The cost is $50.00 per day or $225.00 per week. The program is available for any part of or all of 9 weeks. The summer program offers daily recreational activities that include swimming, arts and crafts, games, as well as both recreational and cultural field trips.
Answer: Due to COVID-19 we have changed the drop off and pick up schedule to staggered time. This allows for smaller groups of students to enter and exit the building every day. Times are as follow:
Preschool - Kindergarten: Gather in the school yard at 7:30 each morning and dismissal is at the same location at 1:55 pm.
Grades 1 -4: Gather in the school yard by 7:40 each morning and dismissal is at the same location at 2:00 pm.
Grades 5 - 8: Gather in the school yard at 7:50 each morning and dismissal is at the same location at 2:05 pm.
Teacher meetings take place on the first Friday of each month. Students are dismissed at 11:10, 11:15 and 11:20 AM respectively on those days.
Answer: Cheverus offers athletics on the interscholastic level in Cross Country, Track and Field, and Basketball. Additionally, there is an after school intramural program.

Answer: Bishop Fenwick High SchoolTypically, the majority of Cheverus students go on to area Catholic high schools. Others enroll in public, charter, or independent schools. The Catholic high schools where most of our students attend include:
