Welcome to PreK 4,
My name is Mary Beth Leon, for the past forty-four years students have called me "Miss Mary Beth". I have been a member of the Cheverus Catholic Community since 1989! My four children attended Cheverus.I have my Lead Teacher Certification through the Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care. I have my Bachelors of Science from Boston State College. In 1982, I opened my own school. For twenty years I had the pleasure of teaching too many children to count. I started teaching prekindergarten at Cheverus Catholic in 2002. I love teaching at Cheverus! It is here that I get to be a part of the children's first experience in school. I am blessed to be able to do what I love at a school that has a strong family community!

Homework
We ask that you read to your child every day. Exposing your child to a variety of fine motor activities such as playdough, art and crafts, scissors and good old fashion playing in the sand helps develop their hand muscles. Going outside to play helps their gross motor development. Please limit their time on electronics and watching television. Letting them do things on their own builds confidence and self- help skills.
Participation
The children are encouraged to participate in both small group and large group activities. We expect the children to verbalize their needs.
Behavior
The children are taught to treat others the way they would like to be treated. They are also taught to respect adults, peers and property.
