Week of April 24th:
Grade 5: We are beginning our exploration of the United States. Students should be playing games to help them learn state locations and their capitals. This should be a review for them and will be tested on this. They should go into Seterra or any other game to practice for 20 minutes a night. I will give the date for the test by the end of this week.
Grade 6: Students will be tested on the state locations and capitals also. They should be practicing them by playing the many state games on the internet for 20 minutes a night. We started to review the questions for the last test so that I can help them understand how to do a good study guide and use it to think through a question .
Grade 7: Wednesday there will be a chapter test on Europe. They have been given a study guide which requires more than a one word answer as they are more complex. We will review some of the study guide in class and try to help them understand how to complete a study guide for the future. Some of the students have not begun the study sheet as of todays class. They will have to pass it in with the test.
Tech Book: Please have your child show you the Tech Book, as they will be using it for the next three years. This is where the bulk of the work will be from. Each student has their own login and password.
