Welcome to PreK 5,
My name is Miss Ashley. This is my fourth year at Cheverus but this will be by sixth year teaching in a PreKindergarten classroom. I have my Lead Teacher Certification through the Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care. I graduated from Framingham State University in 2019 with my Bachelors of Arts in Sociology. I am currently working on getting my Masters in Early Childhood Education at Salem State University. I have always wanted to help children grow and develop new skills through learning along with having fun.

Homework
We ask that you read to your child every day. Exposing your child to a variety of fine motor activities such as playdough, art and crafts, scissors and good old fashion playing in the sand helps develop their hand muscles. Going outside to play helps their gross motor development. Please limit their time on electronics and watching television. Letting them do things on their own builds confidence and self- help skills.
Participation
The children are encouraged to participate in both small group and large group activities. We expect the children to verbalize their needs.
Behavior
The children are taught to treat others the way they would like to be treated. They are also taught to respect adults, peers and property.
