Religion
Religion is taught every day. It is graded as a subject.
Homework
Homework will be posted daily on this teacher web page. Please visit "Homework" subpage.
Typical Day
We'll practice Math, Reading, English, Spelling, and Writing in the morning.
Science, Religion, and Social Studies will be taught in the afternoon.
The students will have art and physical education twice weekly.
Specialist Schedule:
Gym: Tuesday and Friday. Students should wear running-friendly uniforms and shoes on these days.
Art: Wednesday and Thursday.
Tests
Every Friday are the Reading and Spelling tests.
English, Science and Religion tests are not on a set day. The studetns will usually be given two days to study for each test.
Religion: Focus on the highlighted parts in the chapter, those reflect the most important information, which should be studied for the test.
Science: Use the study guide.
Social Studies: Use the study guide.
English: Use the review pages at the end of the unit in the hardcover book to study for the test.
Grading Policy
Papers with a percentage mark are for a grade.
Papers with a check, star or no mark on are not for a grade.
Classroom Behavior and Participation: Students are expected to listen attentively, complete work neatly and on time, work independently, follow directions, show self-control, accept correction, be courteous and respectful to others, be organized and care for their property.
