Dear Cheverus Families,
Its hard to believe it is already November! As we start our third month of the school year, I wanted to update you on some exciting news. Not only have we made some facility improvements, but we've also hosted some successful and enjoyable events that have enhanced the Cheverus experience for our students and families.
During our 7th Annual Gala we honored 4 individuals who mean so much to the Cheverus community.
The Gala was not only a great event in terms of the well-deserved tributes to our community, but it was also financially beneficial. We were able to raise over $75,000! A significant portion of the funds raised was reached through the free tuition raffle. Thanks to all the families who participated in making it such a success! The funds raised will help us offer more school scholarships and work on other major building improvements. These goals not only make Cheverus a school where all who desire can attend, but also allow us to deliver the best education we can through facilities improvements, technology upgrades, and more.
Another great time was our Back-to-School Luau. For those who missed it, I highly recommend joining us next year. In my 23 years at Cheverus, I cannot remember an event that united our community more than this one. Everyone enjoyed the music, food, raffles and was eager to help. It was truly community building.
Once again, our Trunk or Treat was a great opportunity for the little ones to dress up, socialize and enjoy some sweet treats. I always have a great time at this event and it’s wonderful to see everyone get into the Halloween spirit with their costumes and decorations.
As far as facilities improvements go, our new doors have arrived and have been installed! This will add an additional layer of safety, keeping us secure mentally and physically. The next project on the horizon involves updating the stonework on the building in December. These repairs will improve the aesthetic of the building and prevent any debris from crumbling in the future. Lastly, we are awaiting permits to move forward with our new awning/signage. These additions will make Cheverus more visible in the community and allow the exterior to match the vibrancy of the goings on inside the building each day.
We are so grateful you have chosen Cheverus for your children and we look forward to watching them grow and become future leaders and successful members of the community in the years to come.
