As the teachers try to fit in their last lessons of the calendar year to their very excited and joyful students, I can’t help but reflect on how blessed I am to work at a school like Cheverus Catholic. I’ve been so overwhelmed with appreciation thanks to the kindness and efforts of our families. I am also continuously amazed at the hard work of our teachers who always go above and beyond just simply teaching their students; they truly care for them, and it shows. Speaking of our students, I am so proud of them all for working diligently, learning from their mistakes, and allowing us to fulfill our mission to serve the children of our community and beyond.
Crafts with Santa was a big success thanks to the teachers, parents, and students who volunteered their time to help make it an unforgettable event for all our younger students and families. Thanks to the efforts of all those involved, we were able to raise funds for future PTA events, the 8th grade trip to Washington DC, and much more. When a community like ours comes together, great things happen, and that was never more evident than at this wonderful event.
After a lengthy hiatus, The Cheverus Christmas Pageant returned, and it was as beautiful as ever. While we all were a little rusty at first, after some hard work and practice, the kids sang beautifully. There is nowhere I feel this spirit more than at our pageant. This is thanks in large part to the efforts of our faculty and staff who made sure the students practiced, had the right costume, and sang with joy, these beautiful songs about the birth of Christ.
I can’t thank you all enough for entrusting us with your greatest gifts, your children. A blessed Christmas to you all and we can’t wait to see you in the new year!
