Online students will be required to log into Zoom every morning by 7:55 am. Attendance will then be taken and lessons will begin promptly at 8:00 am. I will need those 5 minutes to admit all online students to the session before my lessons begin.

Information for Online/At Home Students
Student Rules For Zoom Meetings
1. Students must use their own names when logging in. No changing usernames.
2. No changing backgrounds. I must always see your face in the screen.
3. The device used for Zoom sessions should be on a table/desk, and the student must be sitting up in a chair. No laying on couches or beds.
4. Be prepared with all materials at the beginning of each school day.- A good idea would be to determine one place in the home that will be the student's working space, and keep all learning materials nearby in that space.
5. Zoom sessions are mandatory and attendance is taken each school day.
6. No chatting or sending messages through Zoom chat.
7. Keep mute on when you are not the speaker.
8. Pay close attention to teacher's lessons and instructions during Zoom sessions/lessons.
If these rules are not followed, Mrs. Hanley will remove students or not admit them to the Zoom sessions. This will cause much difficulty for students as they will miss important learning and information which will affect their grades in 3rd Grade.
With all technology, there are sometimes difficulties. If for some reason there is a problem with the internet and a Zoom session closes out for some reason and your child cannot access me live teaching -- please wait for an email from me with instructions - do not call the office with questions as I will send an email when I am able (you may need to wait a little while) to let you know what you should work on and when to log back on
All students, but espcially online students, will utilize my Teacher Page regularly on the Cheverus Catholic School website. I will also send out information through email. On my Teacher Page, below my name - Janine Hanley - there are dropdown menus - Homework, Weekly Newsletter, Online Students, and Photos. Please check my Teacher page regularly as there will be much information there.
Seesaw is the online platform the elementary teachers will be using for online students. Students will use Seesaw to send me their schoolwork on a weekly basis so I can grade it. Many of you are familiar with Seesaw because Ms. Flagg used it during March, April, May, and June. I will be giving you more information and instructions over the next few weeks for Seesaw. This is new to all of us, me included, so we will all be learning together!
